Cervical cancer is a cancer in the cervix, arising in women due to abnormal growth of cells that spread to other parts of the body.
Symptoms of cervical cancer include:
- Abnormal vaginal bleeding
- Blood spots or light bleeding between or after periods
- Menstrual bleeding longer or heavier than usual
- Douching or cleaning the vagina with water spray, etc.
- Pelvic Pain
Causes for cervical cancer have been identified and include human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, having many sexual partners, smoking, taking birth control pills, and engaging in early sexual contact.
